ABOUT THE FILM

Life in Color is a grounded romantic dramedy about two strangers who are stuck house sitting together. Mary, a live-in-nanny and Homer, a clown-magician meet at a 10-year-old’s birthday party, and both get fired by the end of the day. With nowhere to go, they are forced to house sit for Homer’s successful and pompous childhood friend, Adam. This odd couple gets off to a rocky start. They soon realize the gravity of their situation and the necessity of joining forces, making money and pulling themselves out of the emotional hole they have lived in for years. Mary inspires Homer to join Adam’s comedy competition to help them escape their impending debt. However, first Homer must overcome his fear of performing, and the fact that he has forgotten how to be funny. This character-driven film explores the hidden issues we all bury beneath the surface in a raw and touching way with humor and honesty.

The cast includes, Josh McDermitt from THE WALKING DEAD and MAD MEN, Jim O’Heir from PARKS AND RECREATION, and well-known comedians Adam Lustick from Harvard Sailing Team and THE OFFICE, and Fortune Feimster from CHELSEA LATELY and LAST COMIC STANDING. Life in Color marks Katharine Emmer’s directorial debut. She also wrote, produced, edited and stars in the film.
